Rockband Karaoke – Terms of Use

Welcome to Rockband Karaoke! In order for everyone to have a safe, rockin’ time, we need to lay out a few ground rules! Failure to follow these may result in you losing your turn on stage or removal from the event. By signing up to participate, you agree to the following:

1. Let us call up performers and set up the songs!We’ll call you up to the stage when it’s your turn, but allow our crew to enter instruments, song choice, and difficulty before you begin playing. No fiddling with console settings. We will do our best to get you up as often as possible, but please understand that on a busy evening we will be prioritizing players who have not yet gone up! We encourage you to sign up as a band/partial band with your friends as it makes organizing easier – but we will fill in empty slots based on sign-up order (depending on instrument[s] you chose).
2. Be flexible!Have more than one song you’re willing to play! We will be giving preference to vocalist song choice on the signup sheet. If you’ve chosen only bass, guitar, or drums – you may be asked to play a song you didn’t sign up for (it’s no fail mode, don’t worry about it!). For everyone’s enjoyment, we will try to avoid setting up the same song several times in the night – there are over 1400 to choose from!
3. Sanitize!Our equipment sponsor requires that you sanitize your hands before using shared equipment. Use of masks, while not required, is strongly encouraged. There will be a short pause between groups to sanitize instruments and microphones. Our stage assistants will provide hand sanitizer as you go on stage. For your safety, use the stairs when entering or exiting the stage!
4. Don’t mistreat the equipment!This includes swinging, throwing, kicking, pushing, dropping, slamming… and many other verbs directed at the equipment. Equipment breakage will not only ruin the night for other players, but you may also be financially liable for any repair or replacement costs of our gear or Rec Room’s equipment.
5. Don’t be a jerk!Physical abuse, verbal abuse, or inappropriate or intimidating behavior is not permitted at this event. For the safety and comfort of all people in attendance, we reserve the right to deny service or remove individuals from the event. Bonus Stage strives to create a safe, welcoming environment to all individuals. Harassment of Rec Room staff, Bonus Stage Crew, and guests of this event or the arcade will not be tolerated. Inebriation is not a valid excuse for bad behavior.
